Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced the launch of BSNL EVDO with speed up to 3.1 MBPS at a paltry sum of Rs. 750/- per month. BSNL EVDO data card, which is popular in India thanks to to the high speed services it provides to its customers, has taken a gigantic step by launching such a high speed internet connection. Previously, BSNL EVDO provided a speed of 2.4 MBPS, across 700 cities in India.
The new BSNL EVDO data card comes with a peak speed of 3.1 MBPS along with unlimited download and browsing, also, free roaming is provided. So now, no matter where you are in India, you can enjoy uninterrupted services by choosing any of the plans (which are listed below). It is applicable only with postpaid and also to consumers who apply for application before March 31st, 2010. For prepaid plans, the user is charged with Rs. 0.05/- per 100 kb, which sums to about Re. 1/- per mb.

Charges beyond the certified limit will be levied @ Rs. 0.50 per mb (which is excluded in plan 5 above)
The BSNL EVDO Data Card can be purchased for Rs. 3500/- only. It is also available on rent, monthly charges for the same are Rs. 200/-. Note that the price of BSNL EVDO Data Card varies from city-to-city.
