The Symbian Night Stand Touch application is a very handy application as it coverts your s60 edition mobile phone into a bedside digital clock. The night stand touch application is a free-to-download-for-all application complete with an alarm ring, snooze and also dimming.
The application, developed by Offscreen Technologies for Symbian, is a great application for all those who set their alarm on the mobile phones. The only drawback is that we need to scroll separately for hours, minutes and seconds when setting the alarm, but hey who sets the alarm at 0700 hours, 20 minutes and 13 seconds. The application does not allow different alarm tones, only the default alarm rings. The day of the week is also displayed on the screen clearly, to avoid the early morning “which-day-it-is?” confusion.
The application does not consume battery when on night stand mode, but effect on battery takes place when the mobile device is used regularly during the day.
