Most of the Symbian S60 and Symbian ^3 based Nokia smartphones’ users must be aware of the mobile application called ‘Foursquare’. Foursquare is a popular location-based service that makes the places around you easier and more interesting to explore – When you come across an interesting place, you can add it to new locations and then share it with your friends. Simple and effective.
Already available on Ovi Store for S60 devices, introducing it for the Nokia Series 40 devices will enable many more people the opportunity to discover the exciting world of Foursquare. Why to restrict a wonderful and very useful app only to be used by the few lucky ones who own bigger and better smartphones? Instead, make it available to the masses.
This application is a mobile java-based application which works across a range of Nokia devices and is a Beta version. The Foursquare app for Series 40 devices comes with the following features:
- Shout
- Check in
- Venueless check in (“check in here anywayâ€)
- Search places
- Add place
- Recent checkins from friends
- User info
- Manage friend requests
There is a possibility that it might not be tested on many Series 40 devices yet, but you can download the Beta version here and test it for yourselves. However, the tested devices includes 5310, 6600 fold, 7230, C3-00, C3-01, X3-02.
Nokia will be making Foursquare App for Series 40 commercial and it will soon be available on the Ovi Store too.
