London based mobile manufactures’ INQ mobiles were launched in India. INQ mobiles focuses on social media connectivity. Since, they are new in Indian market and want to taste the flavor of Indian consumers, they have launched only three phones namely; INQ chat 3G, INQ mini 3G and INQ1. The INQ1 is world’s first mobile phone dedicated to social media. It is the winner of prestigious global mobile awards.All INQ phones come with twitter, facebook, orkut, chat and e-mail integration.

The INQ 3G has QWERTY keypad and a 3MP camera, whereas, INQ mini 3G comes candybar form factor and a 2MP camera. Both the phones have trendy and youthful looks that would definitely attract youngsters. To top it all, the price is also very affordable as compared to it’s rivals in this segment. In India, INQ mobile phones will come with a collaboration with Aircel. They have already announced introductory plans for both phones with free internet schemes.
Our Review Of INQ Mobile Phones
The INQ 3G comes with a QWERTY keypad and since QWERTY is the “In-thing” these days, it looks trendy and certainly has a youthful appeal to it. Of course, apart from looks, it’ll also help the user to send e-mails faster as typing becomes easier. It has a slide switcher at the bottom of the screen for movement through different applications. Images taken from its 3MP camera can be conveniently uploaded to your profile on social networking sites. There is an in-built GPS receiver for assisting the “Maps” application and also to locate your position. INQ chat 3G and mini 3G are based on Brew OS 4.0 with Java support.
Since, mini 3G doesn’t have QWERTY keypad and the camera is downgraded to 2MP, the price range for mini3G is slightly lesser, compared to it’s cousin. Both are high speed 3G devices which can be connected to desktops as modem. Newer versions of applications for phones can be easily upgraded whenever they are made available.
