S Tel is a telecom venture between Siva Group (formerly known as Sterling Infotech Group) and Bahrain based Bahrain Telecommunications services (Batelco). It has entered India not at a very convincing time, as telecom business in India is not rising (it is already at peak). But they have offered attractive plans and tariffs for potential customers.
S Tel telecom services has entered 6 circles in India which include; Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, North-East, Assam and Jammu & Kashmir. Being a new entrant in the sector, S Tel has offered call rates as low as 6.85 paisa/min.
Various Plans and Details
An S Tel start-up pack can be purchased for Rs. 25/- in which you’ll get a SIM card and a User Guide. No talk time or validity will be granted to the customer. For that First Recharge (FRC) must be done on your number. Both the options which are in-demand these days viz. pay per second and pay per minute are available on offer. For pay per second scheme, charges are 1paise/sec and for pay per minute scheme charges are 50paisa/min. SMS is charged with 50 paisa (national and local).
FRC vouchers for pay per second plan can be purchased for as low as Rs. 6/- and can go up to Rs. 201/-, but the talk time provided varies and depends (increases or decreases) on the amount of FRC.
FRC vouchers for pay per minute plan can be purchased for Rs. 7/- and can go up to Rs. 203/-.
Rs. 201/- & Rs. 203/- vouchers, provide a promotional offer of 200 mins on-net local free min each month for 3 months & 200 local/national sms free for 3 motnhs.
Note the following:-
- Lifetime Validity is valid only till the year 2028
- Free minutes or SMSes will not be carried over to the next day/month
- Minimum recharge of Rs. 100/- required after every 186 days for maintaining lifetime validity
