Latest news in the mobile phone market is that Samsung will soon be unveiling its next smartphone, the Samsung Nexus 2. However, Nexus 2 is just a working title for the same, as it is considered a successor of Nexus 1. Samsung Nexus 2 is expected to have a solid 1.2 GHz processor with a cool 5 MP camera and will run on Google’s latest OS Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It is expected to be unveiled on November 8.

Our sources (unreliable) have confirmed that the phone is a full touchscreen with black, shiny glossy plastic. It comes with a front-facing camera (hinting that 3G connectivity is available) and might also be equipped with video chat. Other key features are listed below.

Key Features

  • 4 inch AMOLED display (Could be Super-AMOLED version)
  • 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and HD video capture, front-facing camera
  • 512 MB RAM, 16 GB internal storage
  • Support for multiple carriers
  • All the usuals like WiFi, Bluetooth & 3G connectivity with 3.5 mm headset jack etc.
  • Outer casing is a mix of metal and plastic materials

With above features, it can be said that Samsung Nexus 2 is one of the best smartphones to be made available. Besides that, the immense success of Samsung Galaxy S has made it clear that Samsung is not far behind when it comes to high-end smartphones.
