Tata Docomo, the mobile service provider which took the telecom industry by storm when it was launched by introducing pay-per-second plan in India. Tata Docomo, which is a subsidiary of Tata Group’s Tata Indicom, became very popular in the rural areas.
Recently, Tata Docomo had launched a plan for its customers using GPRS, in which they offered unlimited browsing. There were two plans- one; on a recharge of Rs. 15/- which was valid for 3 days. The other for Rs. 95/- which was valid for 30 days. But, unfortunately, they had to withdraw the offer and new tariff plans were introduced in their place.
New GPRS Plan for Prepaid customers
- Rs. 15/- recharge with free data usage of 20 MB:- Customers can recharge their cards by Rs. 15/- and can enjoy free data usage of up to 20 MB. The validity expires after 3 days.
- Rs. 95/- recharge with free data usage of up to 100 MB:- Customers can recharge with Rs. 95/- and can enjoy free data usage of up to 100 MB. The validity expires after 30 days.
If the data usage exceeds the certified limit then 1 paisa/kb will be charged.
How to Activate GPRS?
For activating GPRS on your GPRS enabled mobile phone, all you need to do is send an SMS “internet” to 52270. Shortly, you will receive the GPRS settings which you need to save on your mobile phone. Then log on to the internet browser of the mobile phone and go to settings option and select “DOCOMO internet” APN(Access Point Name) to avail benefits of these packs.
