Top 3 ways to send free sms to any mobile phone in india

by Abhishek on December 18, 2007

There has been lots of programs as well as services on the web which promises to deliver free sms to any mobile in the world, most of them are fake but some of those are really true and they provide what they promise i.e free sms

But nothing comes for completely free so there is a catch in all of them ranging from the cost of the gprs involved , or the ads which got embedded in the sms it self.

Following are the most popular ways to send a sms to any mobile phone number for free.

1. 160by2.com – A free sms service quite popular in india for sending free sms to any mobile phone number but it requires registration but you can send group sms to at most 10 mobile numbers ,you can also maintain phone book and lot more.

2. cellity.com – Call first class and pay economy Feature set includes Worldwide low-cost communication, cellity works in any country, with any phone, with any SIM-Card.You simply need to install the free application by cellity to start sending free sms.

3. Gcalender – Google calender ,it could be a complex way to send a sms but quite good as if now it supports almost all the mobile subscribers. But before you can send a sms to mobile number you need to setup your mobile number.

To register your mobile phone with Google Calendar, you need to obtain a verification code by following these steps:

1. Click on “Settings” at the top of any Google Calendar page, then select the “Mobile Setup” tab.
2. Select your country from the “Country” drop-down menu.
3. In the “Phone number” field, enter your phone number.
4. Select your carrier from the drop-down menu, if applicable. However, if the “See Help Center for supported providers” link is displayed, please check to see if your provider is supported before requesting your verification code.
5. If your carrier is supported, click on the “Send Verification Code” button and wait for a text message to be sent to your phone.
6. Once you receive this message, enter the code you received in your text message into the “Verification code” box and click on the “Finish setup” button.

Enjoy free sms’ing please reach out if you had problems in setting up mobile phone with any of the above services.
