Videocon D2H Pricing Details, Channels List, Packages, Availability and Cost Per Device

Yet another d2h (Direct to Home) service provider will be launched in India very soon. With already so many d2h service providers videocon will be nothing new, except the technology. It is based on DVB-S2 with MPEG-4 technology which promises to give a better picture quality. Videocon plans to launch with 5-6 different packages and is planning to sell 70-80% IDTV’s (Integrated Digital TeleVisions) with 20% STB’s (Set Top Boxes) in the first year itself with an eye on 10% share of the market. This share is not much considering players established players like Tata Sky and Airtel Digital TV.

Different packages which are available are:-

• Gold Pack: This includes 190 channels for Rs. 150/-  pm. There is a special scheme to top-up your account with Rs. 1600/- and get 12 months of free subscription.
• Diamond Pack: This includes 220 channels for Rs. 275/- pm. There are two special schemes to top-up your account:-

1. Top-up your account with Rs. 1500/- and get 6 months of free subscription.
2. Top-up your account with Rs. 2900/- and get 12 months of free subscription.

• Other regional Packs: Regional packages include regional news and entertainment channels (Regional packs also include gold and diamond options)
• Add-Ons: Add-ons means inclusion of channels which are not available in your prescribed package. With add-ons the customer can include their favorite channels at a very nominal cost and enjoy the services. Add-ons are shown below along with their prices:-

1. Sports Pack-1 @ Rs. 30/- pm which includes ZEE Sports and Ten Sports
2. Sports Pack-2 @ Rs. 35/- pm which includes NEO Sports and NEO Cricket
3. Sports Pack-3 @ Rs. 60/- pm which includes ESPN, Star Sports and Star Cricket
4. English Movies/Entertainment @ Rs. 50/- pm which includes Star Movies, HBO, Sony PIX, ZEE Studio, WB, UTV World Movies and Star World
5. English News-1 @ Rs. 30/- pm which includes Times Now, NDTV 24×7, Headlines Today, CNN IBN and CNN
6. English News-2 @ Rs. 10 pm which includes only BBC World News
7. Kids Channels @ Rs. 25/- pm which includes Nick, Disney Channel, POGO and Animax
8. Music @ Rs. 20/- pm which includes Mtv and VH1
9. Infotainment/Lifestyle Channels @ Rs. 30/- pm which includes NDTV Goodtimes, AXN, Discovery Travel & Living and ZEE Cafe
