Windows Phone 7 NoDo update (i.e. copy & paste functionality, among other tweaks) has leaked ahead of its official public release this week. A ROM for the HTC HD7 Mozart, has hit the wilds of xda-developers, complete with the NoDo update.
Amidst the rumors of double-shot update for the Samsung Focus, combining both the pre-NoDo and the full NoDo release, another avenue to NoDo has opened up, as what looks like an official ROM upgrade has been leaked for the HTC 7 Mozart. Now that clearly leaves Samsung users disappointed for the time being and HTC fans elated.
“NoDo†is Microsoft’s first platform update and will include copy and paste. Windows Phone 7 copy and paste has been demonstrated recently in full thanks to an unlocked emulator. Microsoft’s first update will also improve application start-up and resume times – a boon to heavy users.  Not as obvious, but perhaps even more useful, are general speed improvements throughout the system-. The process for discovering apps has its own set of enhancements, with context-sensitive searches delivering more appropriate results.
The ROM upgrades the devices to the final version of “NoDo†ahead of Microsoft’s release. The company is expected to start pushing the update to handsets but eager Mozart owners can opt for the risky process of using a leaked ROM in the mean time. However, we would suggest the users to wait sometime for few more reports of successful installs to surface, in case any unexpected complications arise.
